Biography

Meredith has been singing since before she could talk. She believes music is our first language. A gifted singer/songwriter and performer, Meredith mesmerizes audiences with her soulful music and magical persona. Her voice communicates textures both primal and ethereal, giving the listener the feeling that Meredith has traveled extensively in both realms and has returned to share the wisdom of her journeys. She weaves haunting melodies with the lucid imagery of a sensually perceptive poet. You will not only hear her music, you will feel it.
Meredith has performed in and around Marin County at venues including The Sweetwater, Bazzar Café, Café Amsterdam, Perry’s, 19 Broadway, Bookbeat, Open Secret Bookstore, Fairfax Festival, San Anselmo Festival, Iron Springs Brewery, Marin House Concerts, Harbin Hot Springs, Esalen Institute in Big Sur, and on the Big Island of Hawaii at The Avocado Festival and South Kona Farmers’ Market.

For Meredith, song writing is a mystical process; she says, “It isn’t so much that we write a song, but that a song writes us.”
Meredith’s unique voice and wise lyrics are beautifully captured in her recent release, “Soul Siren,” a collection of 13 original songs for voice and guitar. Her three-octave range, rich emotional spectrum, and fearless improvisation shine on “Dolphin Hymns,” which was released in 2008 and recorded in Hawaii while floating in a kayak, surrounded by the chuffing of wild spinner dolphins.
